Marvel's Spider-Man is a action-adventure Match developed by Insomniac Games and Released based on the Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man.
Released on September 7, 2018, it is the first licensed game manufactured by Insomniac. The game covers both the Peter Parker and aspects of the personality, and tells a new story about Spider-Man which is not tied to an existing book, video game, or film.
Spider-Man was received upon release. Critics called it one of the greatest superhero games praising particularly the battle its gameplay and web-swinging mechanics, graphics, storyline, characterization, and design of new york, though felt it lacked invention in its design that was open-world. The game became a commercial success, promoting 3.3 million copies in its first 3 days of release, and broke several sales documents.
Spider-Man features a huge ensemble cast of characters in Spider-Man comics' background. Peter Parker (voiced by Yuri Lowenthal) is a 23-year old research assistant, who gains superhuman abilities after being bitten by a genetically-modified spider. Implementing a secret identity, Parker uses these skills to look after the taxpayers of New York City as the superhero Spider-Man. Eight years in his superhero career, Parker has become an masterful and skilled crime fighter, but struggles to balance his superhero and personal lives. He is assisted in his fight with intrepid Daily Bugle reporter Mary Jane Watson (Laura Bailey), his ex-girlfriend, also NYPD Captain Yuri Watanabe (Tara Platt). Parker is used by his friend and mentor, the honored scientist Dr. Otto Octavius (William Salyers). Spider-Man's adventure brings him into contact with different personalities, including Miles Morales (Nadji Jeter) and his parents, NYPD Officer Cheap EXP farming Jefferson Davis (Russell Richardson) and Rio Morales (Jacqueline Pinol), OsCorp CEO along with New York mayor Norman Osborn (Mark Rolston), along with Silver Sablinova (Nichole Elise), leader of the private military company Sable International.
Spider-Man's mission to protect the city brings him into conflict with supervillains. The story opens with Spider-Man taking down his longtime foe Wilson Fisk (Travis Willingham), the Kingpin of crime in New York. Fisk is sent to prison, but warns that he had been the only person. Fisk's lack gives rise to a supernaturally powered, demonic-mask wearing gang called the Demons who start carving up the city for the powerful Mr. Side, who will corrupt individuals through his signature. Spider-Man must also confront Electro (Josh Keaton), Rhino (Fred Tatasciore), Scorpion (Jason Spisak), Vulture (Dwight Schultz), Shocker (Dave B. Mitchell), Taskmaster (Brian Bloom), Screwball (Stephanie Lemelin), and Tombstone (Corey Jones).
A lot of different characters--such as Parker's and Watson's childhood friend Harry Osborn (Scott Porter), who has disappeared on a lengthy European vacation, and anti-Spider-Man podcast bunch J. Jonah Jameson (Darin de Paul) have voice roles in the major game. The game includes several references to the Marvel Comics world, including Avengers Tower, the Wakandan Embassy, the Sanctum Sanctorum, Nelson & Murdock Attorneys at Law, Rand Corporation, and Alias Investigations.  Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee cameos as a short-order cook. The game's downloadable content features appearances by master-thief Black Cat (Erica Lindbeck) (who has a voice-only role in the main game), and Hammerhead (Keith Silverstein), leader of the Maggia crime family.
